Pockets are a symbol of one's access to economic trade, privacy, craftsmanship, and style; they are a place to hide stolen and secret items, to transport currencies and love notes. The pocket has been handmade, secondhand, it has been borrowed and gifted. Throughout history, the pocket has been placed under petticoats, sewn into pants, placed on a rope around the shoulder, and sometimes nested within, as a secret heartbeat inside of an even larger pocket.

Left or Right:
You choose which side of the body you'd like the pocket on. Pocket side "Left" means it sits on your left hip, and "Right" on your right hip. 
 
Care instructions: 
Hand wash or machine wash cold with like colors, hang to dry, or tumble dry. The fabric has been preshrunk so there should be minimal shrinkage on your first wash. You will likely need to iron it after washing for it to lay flat again. Don't forget to remove your belongings before washing 🙂
